This blog will serve as our weekly newsletter. We, as a 5th grade team, will update the newsletter weekly to include what your child will be learning, important dates, announcements, and more!

What We Are Learning this Week:

Math: Whole Number Operations - Estimation and Multiplication (3 x 2 digit)

ELAR: MAP Testing and Intro to Workshop Model

Science: Physical Science - Properties of Matter (thermal conductivity, states of matter, mass, magnetism)

Social Studies: Why do we study History and How to Use a Map

Dismissal Reminder:

We would like to remind you that all 3rd-5th grade students who do NOT have younger siblings should be dropped off and picked up at our cafeteria loop. This ensures both lines go smoothly and all students transition in a timely manner.

Mustang Express Pass:

Express passes go live Monday, Aug, 12th. Passes are a one-stop-shop for families to purchase a yearbook, field trip shirt, student activity fee and room parent fund. Passes will be available on AustinPTO.com 8/12- 9/13. $100 per pass.
